The 17th Legislative District has about 70,500 active voters.  About 27% are believed to be Democratic, about 22% Republicans, 8% Independents, and a whopping 33% we aren't sure about. 

The 17th is bordered on the west by I-205, on the north by 199th St, east by 192nd Ave, roughly, and South the Columbia River.  See the map below.
